The Vanuatu Community in Canberra gathered together on December 08 2012 at the office of the Vanuatu High Commission in Deakins to celebrate again another great year of achievement and also farewell Mrs. Cynthia Moli.

This year has seen a lot of things been happening around us, especially within our community and the Canberra - Vanuatu Students Association (CVSA). To name a few:

  • Graduation of the out going President of CVSA, Mr. Howard Aru;
  • Setting up of the long waited office of the Vanuatu High Commission;
  • Official flag raising of the Vanuatu flag in Canberra at the Vanuatu High Commission chancery for the first time;
  • Appointment of two former Presidents of CVSA, namely Mr. Johnny Koanapo and Mr. Howard Aru as Director Generals;
  • Presentation by Mr. Seru Virokanu, a member of our resident community at the ANU's State, Society & Governance in Melanesia Program;
  • Recent graduation of Mrs Cynthia Moli with a Masters in International Economics from ANU's Crawford School;
  • Last but not the least, a big welcome to a new member of the community - CVSA President's new born baby.

As always, the Get-Together functions are events jointly organised by the CVSA and the residents community. We have had a good support from the Vanuatu residents in Canberra. With this continuous support and commitment,we believe 2013 will be another success year for our students, our resident community and our ONLY office of the High Commission.

CVSA blog would like to take this special opportunity to say a big thank you to all of us who are following  the posts on this site throughout this long year. Wishing all of us a joyous Christmas and a prosperous new year 2013.
