CVSA Farewells another three graduating members

The excitement of forthcoming graduation was experienced again as the CVSA students and Vanuatu residents in Canberra gathered together on Sunday 26th June in one of Canberra’s finest suburbs, Campbell, at the home of one our Resident friends – Alexandra, and her partner Kebie Bule.

The function was hosted to farewell CVSA’s outgoing Secretary, Mr. Stanley Trief (to graduate from the University of Canberra in September) and his wife Viran Molisa Trief and Mark Mera who are looking forward to their graduation just around the corner, in mid-July.

Stanley was particularly instrumental in establishing this website/blog for the Association – a source of invaluable information especially for future students wishing to come to Canberra. The information is also applicable generally to any future student coming to study for the first time in Australia as it contains among other things, experiences of students who have studied in the country, particularly in Canberra. The blog is even currently being promoted by tertiary institutions in Canberra such as the UC to future international students to the university. For all this, CVSA wishes to warmly and heartily thank and congratulate Stanley for a job well done amid all the challenges of studies and family life in Canberra over the last 18 months.

Viran Trief is Vanuatu’s Solicitor General. CVSA is proud to have had her also within the Association over the last 18 months, for her contributions and advises at times during previous Association gatherings. Mark Mera is a senior staff at the Reserve Bank of Vanuatu. Again, CVSA expresses its warmest wishes to Mark also as he returns to assume important responsibilities that await him in at the RBV. Further coverage specifically on Viran and Mark’s graduation will be released on the CVSA website following their graduation in mid-July. And we also look forward to Stanley’s graduation in September this year.

During the gathering, CVSA also elected a new Secretary to the Association to replace Stanley. He is Mr. Antonny Arnhambat, currently also undertaking studies at the University of Canberra. CVSA is pleased to welcome Antonny as he takes on this role to continue the good work that Stanley has delivered so far.
