Secondhand shopping

These shops sell various second hand goods including clothes, furniture, and household items.
Visit their websites to find a store closest to you and their opening times.

Note: The above shops have bins around the place where the general public uses to dispose household items to be considered for further sale by these shops. A rule of these bins is that anything that is placed outside of these bins is considered waste and will be removed by the rubbish collectors.

Tip: You will be amazed of what you can find outside of these bins. So if you have the guts to scavenge outside of these bins, we suggest you go for it; it seems like there is nothing illegal about this other than doing the rubbish collectors a favour;-)

  • Recycle and Waste Centres such as the Mitchell Resource Management Centre are also great places to find household items of very cheap prices. These Centres recycle items which have been disposed by the public by reselling them for amazingly low prices.
Note: Make sure you check that all electrical items are in good working conditions before you buy them and that all furniture have their bits and pieces in place or available with the item before you buy them.
